We also thought that as most of the riders wouldn’t know of the places where they could get some food it would be good to show them these too. This avoided the mad scamble for snacks and meals of over a thousand particpants as well as about 5,000 visitors. It spread the load around the food businesses in town and encourages our visitors to discover more about Clitheroe than just the main street.
The Rally Marshalls had the map printed on the back of their hi-vis jackets so when anybody asked for directions they just point to over their shoulders!
Althought going for over 10 years, the Scooter Rally never really had coherent branding or even a logo, but it worked. People just turned up and had a great time. But this year, instead of being just for the day this was a whole weekender.
So it was important to get the message out to the scooter clubs, venues and bands that this was going to be big and just as well organised.
The logo and branding had to follow the mod style of the 60s and be a distinctive badge to wear on t-shirts. We included a stylised image from a photo Dave had taken of last year’s riders. They’re chuffed we included them and next year we’ll select another group from this year’s “Ride-In” photos.
The A3 poster is supplied folded down to A6 so as to neatly fit inside your Parka!
